My indecisive self needs YOUR help!

I was blogging through the bloggy'sphere last night when I came across a fellow Houston Blogger's page, Fabulous But Evil. Tara had just scored the most gorgeous dress from eShakti and I just knew I had to check out the website for myself. If you want to see the dress Tara got, head on over to here blog and read the post A Blue Dress.

So, of course I fell in love with every. single. thing on the website (go figure, right?) That's why I just try and STAY away from sites like that because if I don't, I end up wanting (and sometimes buying) E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. Well, everything is unfortunately not in the cards right now (lame! But, you're welcome hubby because I'm sure you'll stumble across this post & be so proud about my self control ;), right?!)

BUUT, since I signed up I automatically got a $20 off coupon. So OF COUUURSE I just HAVVVEE to buy something, right?

RIGHT.

Now I need you guys, my fellow dear readers, to help me pick a dress! I have it narrowed down to two choices. I love vibrant colors and wanted something fun and something that I would be able to wear to work.

Sooooo, without further ado, here are my two choices:

CHOICE 1:
I was immediately drawn to this dress because of the color. Like I said, I love bright colors! I also really like the neckline of this dress (but it may be a little TOO deep of a V for work.) To me, this is more of a summer dress. (Although, I don't do seasons - hello, I live in Texas - and secondly, I wear what I want WHEN I WANT, regardless if it's "not in season." So, knowing me, I would probably rock this anytime of the year, haha!)

CHOICE 2:

I love this dress as well! I love the two tone black and white the best and the colorful butterflies are just an added bonus. This is more of a winter dress to me (but I think it just screams winter because of the black and white of the dress.) I love the details in this though and think it would look AMAZING with colored tights and my black boots! (which by the way, I can't wait to wear. I almost debated breaking them out next week, I mean it is 66 degrees when I leave for work in the morning... That's boot weather, right? Okay, okay, okay, in all honesty, I wouldn't REALLY rock them in public yet - but that doesn't mean I can't do it in the privacy of my own home. My dogs don't judge.)

So fabulous readers, what do you think? I am such a bad decision maker (and totally indecisive) and ONE of you out there have to be a good decision maker and make the dress buying decision for me (or at least give me your input!)

Have any of you ever ordered from eShakti before? What are your thoughts on the company? I have heard mixed reviews, but I love the fact that they customize their clothing.

So what Wednesday!

I am linking up with Shannon at Life After I "Dew" for So what Wednesday!

SO WHAT IF...

  • I have a eBay habit that I just can't break... and i'm completely okay with that.
  • I was at school until almost 8 p.m. today
  • It was my dog's birthday yesterday and I didn't even know until my MOM sent me a text telling me... and then commented that I was a bad mom for NOT having in on my calendar (when she obviously does.) Soooo, happy 3rd birthday Bella Boo!!!!
  • I get sucked in every time Honey Boo Boo comes on the TV... It's like a bad train wreck that I just can't pull myself away from. It's pathetic.
  • I want to buy a Bieber poster for my classroom... My room... My way!
  • I haven't worked out in like 2 months. Still telling myself that TOMORROW is the day... HAHA. Now it's just laughable.
P.S. I need to see you girls soon. I am going through withdrawl & it's NOT okay... That goes for you too Myra @ The Little Aslam!!!!

August Beauty Favorites! :)

I am currently jamming out to Justin Bieber Pandora & yes it is my favorite station and yes it is the bomb diggity (I mean would you expect any different from me??) And I just tried to be fancy and take "cool" pictures of my favorite beauty products that I have purchased in the last month (it doesn't nearly look as cool as the rest of ya'll's - is that a word? I know ya'll is already plural... And since when have I said ya'll anyways? Whatever, this Reading/Writing teacher is out of commission right now  pictures.) Was that a run on sentence? I'm sure you're surely not judging me by my grammar, right?

MOVING ON...

Let me start off with the fact that I am a TOTAL sucker for anything. I literally can be coerced into buying ANYTHING BY ANYONE. It's really pretty awful actually. I purchased this deep conditioner from the hair dresser LAST YEAR (Which let me just tell you that this haircut in itself was $120. And then I got suckered into buying $100 worth of products. To say the least, hubs was not a happy camper.)

I was actually pretty pleased with this conditioner, even if it did mean that I couldn't eat for about a week. I was then on a search for something just as great without the hefty price tag... Which leads me to...

My August Favorites!!!

I think the hair God's were shining down on me when this deep conditioner was made. I am OBSESSED and when I say obsessed I mean I would marry this conditioner if it was legal (sorry V!) I purchased mine off eBay since I saw this on various blogs and wasn't sure how I felt about the price. But, I will purchase and re-purchase until the day I die. I can't even put into words how SILKY, SMOOTH, SHINEY, HEALTHY and AMAZING my hair feels/looks after using this. THIS IS A MUST PURCHASE, especially if you blow dry/straighten/curl your hair often. You can thank me later. (Have any of you girls ever tried this before?)

Love Sebastian products since I purchased some detangler at Marshall's a year or so ago. I love the mousse when I wear my hair natural (wavy) My hair is SO thick and this doesn't weigh it down and it doesn't make it "crunchy" or "wet" (hate both of those looks!) I don't need to use much and it still keeps me frizz free WITH my style staying in place! I use the thermal shine spray right before I straighten my hair and it makes it so smooth and helps protect against the heat of my straightner, as well as putting a great shine to my hair!

My new makeup obsession! I finally caved and shelled out the money for the Naked Palette at Sephora and it was SO worth the money! The colors are really pigmented and browns/golds are my favorite color's to wear. Perfect "lighter" golds for work and wonderful "darker" colors in brown to transition to night time and the black/grey help to make a perfect smokey eye!

I saw this on a beauty bloggers blog and I couldn't wait to try it! I finally picked two up when Walgreens had a buy one get one 50% off and I love how it is not thick like normal lipsticks and doesn't chap my lips up! It goes on smooth and I love the look of these balms with gloss over it!

I can't get enough of this lip balm. I purchased it after seeing it on someone's Instagram! Now I can't go anywhere without it! I love the way it doesn't get all over the cap and it makes my lips feel silky smooth! I know it will come in handy once it starts to get cold because my lips get soo chapped!

What products did you buy in August that you loved? I'm always looking for new favorites (because I'm such a sucker, remember?)

Friday letters... You better REDNECKONIZE!

Dear Big Brother, I wish you wouldn't have evicted Frank, but I am more than glad that you booted out and showed Scream-o (AKA Joe) the door. I don't think I could have put up with one more day of his loud and obnoxious confessionals.

Dear Hubby, Thanks for allowing me to not OD on coffee and 5 hour energy this past month. And being so understanding when I just want to be an unsocial loser. You always know what I need when I need it and I love you for it.

Dear "Behaviorally Difficult Student #1" I see so much potential in you. I applaud you for realizing that different choices needed to be made this year and that you are taking the necessary steps to make good decisions in my class. I appreciate your respectful behavior, especially when I have had to re-direct you. I look forward to more good days

Dear "Behaviorally Difficult Student #2" My heart hurts for you and it ANGERS me to know that the education system in this country has failed you thus far. But, I refuse to let that continue to happen. Because you DESERVE the best education possible & it's downright depressing to know that all of your previous teachers have given up on you. (chronic/daily) Misbehavior or not, no child should ever be told that they have no future. I will not give up on you.

Dear "Behaviorally Difficult Student from last year" I see so much of you in one of my students this year. So far in my career as an educator, you have made the biggest impact on me.  I went into the year thinking that I would be making miracles and that I would be the one person who got through to you. But, I got a rude awakening when I realized how difficult a task that really was. I still feel as though I somehow failed you and that I would hold myself responsible if you were not to succeed (even though I know it's obviously not my fault).

Dear Self, Please remember that although you play a million different roles in a child's life on a daily basis, you are not their parent. Nor are you responsible for their will (or lack there of) to learn. You can mentor a child all you want and let them know that you believe in them, but at the end of the day, the decision is ultimately up to them and them alone. Yes, miracles are performed every day, but you are not superwoman.

Dear Readers, please tell me that I am not the only one who can not pull themselves away from Honey Boo Boo? I mean come on, you can't deny the fact that the video I posted a few weeks ago just screamed 'WATCH ME, WATCH ME, WATCH ME'...

Over Labor Day weekend, I had planned on cleaning my cluttered house. I told myself that I would only watch ONE episode of little miss Go Go Juice drinker... and next thing I knew, 4 hours had elapsed and I was still watching.

(I can't believe I'm admitting it.)

Actually, I can admit it, because I'm sure you were probably watching it to. Especially since little miss holler for a dollar boo boo brought in the same number of ratings that Bill Clinton did. And her ratings far surpassed those of the Republican National Convention.

Oh well, I guess it's a good thing I'm not a Republican, huh? ;)

It's okay...

I am linking up with Neely and Amber for It's Ok Thursday! :)

It's Ok...

... To not update the blog for over a week

... To keep telling yourself that you are going to work out... Tomorrow. And then postpone tomorrow until tomorrow... until tomorrow becomes... umm... never?

... To finally feel as though your students have settled into a GOOD routine, when you are told that you are doing the routine wrong & have to change it the next day. Even though you don't deal with change well. And neither do they, but you adjust anyways.

... To let your "previously difficult" students know that they are SMART & AMAZING. And realize that you may just be the only person who has ever told them that.

... It's MORE than ok to praise those "previously difficult" students for even the smallest of achievements.

... To go to bed at 2 a.m. because you have so much work to do, only to wake up 4 hours later to work 13 hours.

... To not have a social life & realize that sometimes the only communication you make through out the day with another human being is usually with a 12 year old.

... It's NOT okay to miss your bloggy friends so much & kick yourself for not keeping up with their blogs in the last few weeks :( :( Sniffles!
