To CUT or Not To CUT??

Everyday I go back and forth on whether I want to grow my hairs out or chop all them hairs off (majority of the time it's the latter of the two!)

I haven't had a haircut in <GASP> about 16+ months. I know, I know, I am SOO awful. And honestly, there's really no reason why it's been that long. Okay, actually there is a few reasons.

1. I work too much and usually don't leave work till 7:30 pm or later during the week and majority of places are closed by then.

2. Most "good" places aren't open on the weekends (WTF is up with that? Don't they realize we (and we meaning I) gotta make that dough during the week??)

3. The four haircuts I have gotten since living in Texas have been pretty lackluster (and that's putting it lightly.) I have been to 4 DIFFERENT places to get those 4 haircuts. None of those places or stylists "WOW'ed" me. And none of those haircuts have been anything to "ohh" and "ahh" about.

4. I really, REALLY don't want to pay an arm and a leg for someone to cut these luscious locks (did you like that idiom I just used?)

What it REALLY comes down to is the fact that i'm really just too lazy to get my ass motivated to get a haircut. Yup, that's the truth.

Unfortunately, i'm at my breaking point now. If I don't get a haircut STAT, I think I might go all Britney Spears on my hair and I may be looking like this the next time you hear from me...

And we ALLLLLL know that we don't want that. Plus, it doesn't exactly flatter my face shape. But, my hair is pretty much doing this every day....

SHEDDING! (Okay, maybe not THAT much...) But, my hair is sooo dry and brittle and has been breaking and I feel like I shed more than my poochies do (and that's pretty redic!)

SOOO... Here is my dilemma that I need all your amazing opinions on...

Short Hairrrrr'z:

Medium Hairrrr'z:

A little background on my hairzzz:
-It grows really fast
-I am in no way attached to my hair. At. All.
-I have curly/wavy hair and it's thicker than a mofo
-As it is now, it takes 40 minutes to DRY and another 40 to straighten
-I have a shiiiiiiiit tonnnnnn of hair

  1. Cut! Definitely CUT! Look at your photos: the shorter your hair, the better you look!

  2. I definitely like the shorter hair. I'm all about simple. It looks great short too!

  3. I say cut to medium length though you look good in all lengths. It been 10 months since I got a haircut and I'm dying to get one just never can find the time anymore,

  4. I'd get it cut and see if you can find someone to take some of it out so it doesn't take you 40 minutes to blow dry!! That is usually the case with my hair because its thick but once I asked my hair dresser what to do, it takes me 10-15 minutes (20 minutes if I am distracted by the tv lol)

  5. Girl you are so gorgeous that it looks great at any length. But if your hair grows fast I would say go short! I went short last year and LOVED it. I also haven't had a hair cut in like 16 months. We need to get with it!

  6. Cut cut cut!! It looks so good short and a change could be good!

  7. Ugh, I have thick, curly hair that takes forever. I've told myself I'm going to grow it out sooo many times. Then I get frustrated and chop it off as soon as it hits my shoulders. Every. time.

I LOVE your hair short! It's super cute. I'd go back to that. :) (Plus I know how much easier it is!)

  8. Oh I love your hair but I know how much work it is and that is a few extra minutes you could be sleeping, right? I say go medium that way you can still pull it up if it is getting in your way or too hot.

  9. CUT keep it between short and medium (since it grows fast the cut will last longer). I have super thick hair too so I feel ya! Gotta get mine cut soon!!

  10. I have a ton of hair just like you girl! I feel your pain! I would go for the medium! It is a way cute cut on you. I like the dark color against your skin though. so pretty!

  11. I think your hair looks super cute at the medium length!

  12. I love the short length! I definitely think it looks the cutest there, but I'm partial to short hair. Besides, since your hair grows fast it'd be out to the medium length in no time!

I don't know what part of town you live in, but my aunt owns a hair studio in Santa Fe (towards Galveston) and she works on Saturdays and is AMAZING! Let me know if you want her information...just shoot me an email at

  13. Cut! I really like the Medium length!

  14. Cut it girl! I like the medium length best, but you're also cute with a shorter 'do. Just keep trying new stylists until you find a salon and a stylist that you like. I've had the best luck with Aveda salons, so you may want to give one of those a try. Have fun!

  15. I like the medium length best I think!!

  16. I really like the medium length!

  17. I like the short hair the best. I'm a bit biased because mine is short, but it's also a heck of a lot easier to deal with!

If you lived here, you could go to my salon! They're fancy but reasonable and open until 8 and on weekends! :)
