It's okay...

I am linking up with Neely and Amber for It's Ok Thursday! :)

It's Ok...

... To not update the blog for over a week

... To keep telling yourself that you are going to work out... Tomorrow. And then postpone tomorrow until tomorrow... until tomorrow becomes... umm... never?

... To finally feel as though your students have settled into a GOOD routine, when you are told that you are doing the routine wrong & have to change it the next day. Even though you don't deal with change well. And neither do they, but you adjust anyways.

... To let your "previously difficult" students know that they are SMART & AMAZING. And realize that you may just be the only person who has ever told them that.

... It's MORE than ok to praise those "previously difficult" students for even the smallest of achievements.

... To go to bed at 2 a.m. because you have so much work to do, only to wake up 4 hours later to work 13 hours.

... To not have a social life & realize that sometimes the only communication you make through out the day with another human being is usually with a 12 year old.

... It's NOT okay to miss your bloggy friends so much & kick yourself for not keeping up with their blogs in the last few weeks :( :( Sniffles!

  7. Dude I totally feel you. I got a new student yesterday so now I have 22 little ones in my classroom. Just that one kid changed it all up.

If I lived in Houston (or you lived here) I'd bring you some chocolate cake and wine. :) Missed you bloggy friend!

  10. Thanks for the tip on the teacher discount at The Loft! Will definitely have to take advantage of that. I'm thrilled to find another great middle school blog, they don't see to be as abundant as the primary grade blogs! New follower and looking forward to reading more. Hope you'll hop back over to blog as well if you get a chance :).

  11. I have no social life, nor do I work out and find i amazing to those teachers that do go to the gym after...however I am trying to get into a routine where I can do Pure Barre workouts ( I fell in love with PB this summer) and For that one reason (not having adult communication) is my motivation to leave my room and eat lunch with the other teachers, thou sometimes i just need peace and quiet. Oh and telling you to change your routine would make me soooo mad!! that sucks!!
